Ducretet SM5, 1927

Apparecchio a conversione di frequenza (MF=55 khz) e reazione, regolabile da pannello frontale. La reazione serve quale controllo di volume. Apparecchio molto sensibile e selettivo, onde lunghe e medie.
Dimensioni 37 x 26 x 23 cm. Alimentazione: 4V (filamenti), 40V (bigriglia oscillatrice), 70V (ampli HF e rivelatrice), 90-120V (finale), 9V (polarizzarione valvola finale).
Antenna a quadro: probabilmente Ducretet, onde medie e lunghe, con bussola nel basamento.

Philips 834A, versione per la Svizzera, costruito dal 1933 al 1934. Ricevitore ad amplificazione diretta a 5 valvole, onde medie e lunghe. Alimentazione da 103 a 253 V c.a., dimensioni 400 x 450 x 230 mm, peso 10 kg.

Westinghouse RA-DA, 1921

Questa radio, considerata come la prima radio venduta al grande pubblico, consiste in due sezioni distinte alloggiate nello stesso contenitore in legno. La sezione di sinistra è l’unita RA ed è il sintonizzatore. Comprende un variometro d’accordo ed il comando per il controllo della reazione. La sezione di destra contiene il rivelatore ad una valvola e l’amplificatore a due valvole. La combinazione RA-DA è anche conosciuta come ricevitore RC.

This radio, considered as the first radio sold to the general public, is a two section receiver contained in a single wood cabinet. The left section is the RA unit and is the tuner of the receiver. It contains a variometer for tuning in the radio stations and the tickler for controlling the regenerative feedback. The right section DA is the one tube detector and the 2 tube amplifier. The combined RA-DA receiver is also known as an RC receiver.

Una delle migliori radio costruite in germania negli anni 50. 5 altoparlanti, push pull di EL84 in uscita, in termini di potenza e qualità del suono è difficile da superare. 9 valvole in tutto, suono imponente e pulito, adatto anche per grandi ambienti. Onde lunghe ,medie, corte, nonché doppio sintonizzatore FM.

General Electric P780. Una delle prime radio portatili che potevano competere con le radio a valvole in termini di sensibilità e qualità di suono. Molto ben costruita e pesante (più di 4 kg) riceve solo le onde medie. Con 6 comunissime batterie da 1,5V tipo LR20 l’autonomia raggiunge le 1000 ore di funzionamento. Dimensioni: 270 x 200 x 100 mm.
